Chef Jerry Schefe who was trained in Queensland during the late 80's finishing his apprenticeship at Rumpoles carrying on his trade in large and small restaurants in Brisbane taking on a local fresh herb businesseventually going for a tree change in the Mount Barney region

Opening a small 100 year old cafe in Harrisville called Mackaways travelling to the Bowen basin then Narrabri finding a sea change with my partner Diane at Darlington Beach Holiday park

Always looking to use the best of the locally available products and produce to best represent the area

The fully licensed cafe restaurant is centered around the holiday maker during the peak holiday season, along with the permanent residents but open to the public all year round.The fire place operates during the winter months with the space to gather and enjoy a sumptuous meal with a port or coffee. we are open 7 days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner

Ponds Cafe cater with food styles to suit a broad range of conferences, gatherings and weddings of all different sizes,types and styles

Our newest venture is  a food van to  cater for those away and onsite catering jobs

 

whether it is a few hours or a few days with a fully adaptive equipment setup.

we can now cater for a sit down function through to events at allmost any site

from the basic cafe lines burgers chips good coffee hot drinks soft serve and full range of individual ice cream varieties a full range of slushie flavors soft drinks lollies and chips
